MBI Installs Arena Acoustical Products Ahead of Dalai Lama Visit

Not all arenas are equipped with the proper acoustical products to host a globally recognized distinguished guest.

A PROMINENT UNIVERSITY IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HAD ARRANGED A SPECIAL VISIT FROM THE DALAI LAMA, TO BE HELD IN ITS MAIN ARENA, WHICH NEEDED TO BE ACOUSTICALLY CORRECTED.

The space was highly reverberant, making speech intelligibility poor at best. For such a high-profile event, the University realized it needed to correct the acoustics of the space so the audience could hear and understand his message.

The solution was to install MBI Lapendary Panels in the ceiling, attached to the existing bar joists, using standard aircraft cable and clamps. The project was designed by Vance Breshears of Idibri.

When speech recognition is critical, MBI is the company to call for the proper acoustical products.
