Why Cloud-Lite® for Sound Absorption?
Germantown Warhawks 8 lane, 25-yard pool swimming pool facility in Germantown, WI is acoustically treated with Cloud-Lite Baffles to alleviate a harsh sound environment amid splashing, whistles, and spectator noise.
Easy-to-install baffles absorb sound in any large cubic volume space
When you walk into a cavernous space — a warehouse, a natatorium, a theater, a church — the ceiling is typically high, which amplifies sound reverberation. Also, these spaces are normally built with mainly hard surfaces, e.g., concrete, steel, or tile, which reflect sound rather than absorb it. From an acoustic standpoint, this kind of reverberant space is not ideal for its occupants.
Sound reverberation increases the ambient noise level within a space, causing an unpleasant acoustic environment and maybe even inaudible conversations. It’s important to consider acoustics when designing functional spaces from the outset.
Fortunately, with a proper assessment and the right acoustic solutions installed, a large space can be transformed into a comfortable acoustic environment. Conversations can still be clear and defined within the spacious environment, without the extra noise in the background.
Cloud-Lite® Baffles are designed to solve acoustical problems in any large cubic volume space such as arenas, schools, gymnasiums, natatoriums, theaters, restaurants, offices, kennels, and industrial buildings for OSHA compliance. Clear conversations and acoustic clarity can be achieved even with music, talking, or a noisy background all occurring simultaneously.
Made with sound-absorbing material, Cloud-Lite Baffles are easily suspended from ceilings, bar joists, horizontally stretched cable, or pre-engineered suspension systems. Cloud-Lite Baffles can be arranged to create different architectural effects, depending on the desired end use of the space, and integrate exceptionally well with existing lighting and HVAC systems.
MBI pioneered the original Cloud-Lite® Acoustical Baffle over 50 years ago and today offers the most complete line of acoustical baffles throughout the industry.
