MBI's Acoustic Solutions Rep Spotlight: Midlantic Sales Group, Inc.
MBI Products relies on the knowledgeable and experienced professionals at Midlantic Sales Group to bring effective acoustic solutions to the Maryland, DC, and Virginia region of the United States.
For more than 15 years, our successful partnership with Midlantic has been largely based on the common premise that customers deserve exceptional service.
MBI’s Campbell McNeeley works closely with these specialists in acoustic solutions. She shares, “When we work with Midlantic, we know the customer will get superior service. They are a great, trustworthy team with plenty of experience and knowledge of our products.“
A few members of the Midlantic team, including Kent Damschroder, Kate Thomas, and Andy Damschroder, chatted with us recently and shared a bit about their work with MBI Products.
Which MBI products do you provide for your customers, and for what applications?
Our typical projects involve either Colorsonix® Acoustical Wall Panels, Lapendary Panels, or Shadow-Coustic® Acoustical Pads for spaces in various industries. Churches, high-end offices, arenas, gymnasiums, and educational institutions are the most common applications for these products. However, since we’re located in the Washington, DC area, we also get a lot of requests for projects in government buildings.
What do you value about your partnership with MBI Products?
We have similar business philosophies when interacting with customers. Just like at MBI, we prioritize customer service above all. What does that look like? We are highly responsive to customer communications and treat them fairly. It’s that simple. In fact, sometimes we turn down project opportunities if it’s in the customer’s best interest. We have grown to appreciate this same standard from the team at MBI.
As far as their acoustical products, they are reliably functional. Their performance, or sound absorption, is predictable and consistent, so we can easily stand behind their quality. We only offer our customers the best acoustical solutions available on the market.
Are you currently working on any other jobs with our products?
We have MBI’s acoustic products in use almost every day out in the field, especially in churches and schools. Plus, we just completed a theater in the area and a big job at a government administration building that needed Shadow-Coustic Pads.
A few others come to mind, too. First, we supplied lapendary panels for the new CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, which was a great job. In another big project, we used Colorsonix wall panels on the walls throughout a regional convention center. Third, we designed a classroom Colorsonix panel system in the university’s signature colors. (To see more on this project, head here.)
We’re also excited about an upcoming project at a prominent live music nightclub in DC. This venue will benefit from custom acoustic solutions, but the design/product is yet to be determined. Stay tuned for more on that one!
What sets Midlantic apart from other sales organizations?
We started operations in 1984, so we’ve had a long time to build a reputation for giving customers good service and treating them well. Sometimes we earn business based on price, but that’s not the only thing. Our repeat customers know that we won’t take them for granted and that we value their time and investment.
We try to create lasting relationships with our customers, who turn to us even when we don’t have products to meet their needs. They want to work with us — architects, too — so we focus on their needs and do what’s best for them.
