The Mirage Wall and Ceiling Panels from MBI has a specialized Xaylon facing that can be custom-designed using any digital file. This makes it possible to replicate the look of real wood, tin ceiling tiles, natural surfaces such as marble or granite, or your own original graphic artwork. This solid custom facing allows sound to be absorbed into the core, resulting in a panel that provides essential acoustical properties with a high-end appearance. No perforations on the facing are necessary. This semi-rigid, lightweight panel will never sag and will maintain a flat, smooth appearance. A custom ceiling grid is also available for a seamless, consistent appearance.
Reproduction of actual color is limited by the printing process. Sample request of selected pattern is recommended. All products are custom manufactured and are not subject to return. Additional colors may be available.
Submitting Digital Art
The Custom Design Center can accept digital artwork. To avoid unnecessary production delays,
please refer to the following guidelines when preparing or submitting digital artwork.
The Custom Design Center supports Adobe® PhotoShop® and Adobe Illustrator® files
in both MAC and PC formats. We also accept generic file formats such as TIF or JPEG
images provided the program used to create the file supports spot color separations or if
the artwork reproduces as a single color image.
All files must be formatted to 300 dpi and adhere to our repeat specifications. (For
information regarding our repeat specifications, please call either of the phone numbers
listed below.)
Designs should be set up to offset correctly with all joins complete. Any designs needing
to be corrected for offset or joins will incur an artwork charge.
Always check files for any tracking problems before submitting. An accurate assessment
may require printing the file at actual size. To avoid an artwork charge, the design client
must correct any tracking problem that is found after submittal.
Separations should be done by channels. Do not prepare or submit files that are
separated by layers. All channels should be indicated as a spot color and in the order in
which they are to print. There should be no extraneous channels in the file – do not
include channels that are not intended for print.
Each pattern must be submitted on a separate CD.
An 8.5” x 11” printout of the file should be included with the CD.
Please label the CD with the request number of the design.
Submitting Non-Digital Art
When submitting an art sample, please follow the guidelines below:
Sample should contain at least one full repeat of the design which will help the Custom
Design Center to closely duplicate the effect sought, resulting in fewer revisions.
Do not fold artwork when shipping. Please ship it in a flat envelope. Roll it for placement
in a shipping tube only if necessary.
When new artwork is required, a CAD (Computer Assisted Drawing) print will be sent for
design (not color) approval only. Due to differences in the color systems between digital
output and product production, color differences should be expected.
If you have any questions regarding the submittal of artwork, please contact us.
